Electrophysiology

Cardiac electrophysiology is a subfield of clinical and interventional cardiology that is responsible for diagnosing and treating arrhythmias. The electrophysiologist is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology and electrophysiology subspecializes. In our Cardiovascular Clinic we have an excellent team of specialists, paramedical and administrative staff with extensive training in the specialty that ensures comprehensive care.

Non-invasive diagnostic procedures:

  • Tilt Table Testing (Tilt test)

Invasive diagnostic procedures:

  • electrophysiological studies
  • Electroanatomic mapping system

therapeutic methods, consisting of implants a cardiac pacing device:

  • compatible and conventional MRI Pacemaker
  • defibrillators (prevention of sudden cardiac death)
  • cardiac resynchronization (devices for heart failure)

highly specialized procedures:

  • ablations: technique that can cure different types of tachycardia.
    • Atrial Fibrillation Ablation (Pulmonary Vein Isolation)
    • Ablation of ventricular tachycardia
