Summary

Coronary bifurcations due to stress and turbulence of blood flow, are particularly susceptible to developing arteriosclerotic injury, which is present even in the 30% of patients with multivessel disease and represent the 10 al 15% of all interventions. However, percutaneous management continues to be a challenge both in terms of long-term cardiac events and technical success of the procedure. This document represents an updated review of the anatomy, physiology, classification and recommendations of interventional strategies for its treatment, based on clinical evidence, in order to unify concepts.
